Cherryl Bueno was born in the Philippines and immigrated to the United States at a young age. Her family settled in Connecticut, where she was raised and educated along with her older brother. After high school, Bueno went on to attend the University of Connecticut. Being a natural athlete and intense competitor her entire life, it seemed an obvious choice that Bueno would eventually pursue a career in this avenue. After learning about Sports Medicine and Athletic Training, she became consumed in her passion, as she was able to serve as both a student athletic trainer and manager for the UCONN mens basketball team. After successful completion of her B.S. in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from UCONN, Bueno went on to earn a Masters degree at Southern Connecticut State University, where she served as a graduate assistant in their accredited Sports Medicine program. Since then, she has worked and competed in athletics on the professional level not just in nearly all of the 50 states, but around the globe in several continents. Bueno has worked with practically every sport at every level (youth, recreational, college, and professional), but does not limit her expertise and clientele to just the conventional athlete. Aside from providing medical care for sporting events, she also provides private one on one care, injury consultations, ergonomic and biomechanical assessments, injury prevention, and movement analyses to private athletes, industrial workers, and entertainers. Some notable clientele include the Blue Man Group, tennis pro Shelby Rogers, and Mike Tysons daughter, an aspiring tennis player. Bueno travels around the world providing event medical coverage for the mens and womens pro tennis tour, USA Volleyball mens and womens national teams, and Bueno travels around the world providing sport medicine services for the mens and womens pro tennis tour and USA Volleyball mens and womens national teams. During her free time, Bueno continues to engulf herself in her career, mentoring high school and college students interested in pursuing her chosen career pathway. Additionally, she mentors other professionals (physical therapists and athletic trainers in tennis specific techniques and proficiencies. Bueno opened up Coast to Coast AthletiCare to service not just elite athletes, but for individuals seeking overall musculoskeletal care, injury prevention, or general education and well being.
